Animated-Flag-CanadaIf you care about Canada’s democratic principles being eroded by lobbyists for major corporations like Monsanto, Big Oil, Big Biz and countries like China and the USA, then please take the time to read this Democracy Watch summary of the terrible things Canadian politicians and government bureaucrats are doing to our country at all levels, clearly reducing our Canadian democracy in the direction of third world countries…this is alarming.  As a direct result of this mafia-like behavior, we have pharmaceuticals running our health care system, we have pharmaceuticals and psychopathic psychiatrists and other doctors freely drugging and maiming our children by the millions, we have doctors lying about the addictiveness and brain-damaging effects of the drugs they cavalierly supply to unwitting patients, we have a hospital care system rated as the worst in the civilized world and our health care system is imploding.  66% of people die in hospital and iatragenic illness (death or illness caused by medical treatment) is the 2nd leading cause of death and maiming in Canada.

While our Canadian democracy is being decimated by big business and political interests, the federal government pretends its millionaire and billionaire supporters are not salting away money in tax havens to avoid paying taxes.  Our entire election system has been hijacked by lobbyists and corporate donors to political parties, most of the members of these parties involving in behavior that is designed to enrich them and their families.  We are paying for Senators who are rarely if ever audited..primarly because there are no rules that govern government ethics and where there are rules, they are either not enforced or penalties result in a slap on the wrist.  Canadian citizens are being robbed blindly, made ill at alarming rates by Big Pharma running wild, our skies poisoned by Chemtrails to ‘control weather’ and our lands ruined by Big Oil so that China can have our oil and gas.

 Please, click here and read the brilliant summary by Democracy Watch and help recover our democracy by signing the petition demanding ethical standards in Canadian goverment at all levels(more…)

Hypnotherapy for Addictions

Resolve Addictions with Hypnotherapy

   All addicts must know three things in order to recover from their dependency on any substance or behavior: It’s not their fault, they don’t deserve it and regression hypnotherapy with a fully qualified regression hypnotherapist can help them recover permanently from the need to self-medicate deep feelings of hurt, sadness, guilt, shame and grief. (Please note that my reference to fully qualified does not include past life regression or basic hypnosis.)

A large part of my hypnotherapy practice is devoted to addictions issues and helping addicts and substance abusers become free of their mental and physical reliance on substances and behaviors of all kinds – from cigarettes to alcohol, heroin, cocaine, psychiatric drugs, gambling and pornography.  According to my former clients, recovering from the addictiveness and damage of psychiatric drugs is the most challenging.  (more…)

Hypnotherapy for Self-Healing

Hypnotherapy for Mental Illness

 Hypnotherapy utilizes the natural state of hypnosis to facilitate the changes clients want.  Hypnosis is as natural as breathing; most everyone experiences it daily.  It is not sleep, unconsciousness, nor is it therapy in of itself.  It’s better described as a day-dream state during which a competent therapist can assist a client to make the desired changes at the subconscious level.

Navigating the Field of Hypnotherapy: From Mental Illness to Emotional Wellness Naturally

Sometimes the interchange of the terms hypnosis and hypnotherapy, hypnotist and hypnotherapist, consulting hypnotist, hypno-psychologist, doctor of hypnosis and so on, cause confusion for those looking for assistance with a particular issue or goal.

In the USA, UK and Canada, several organizations promote hypnosis and hypnotherapy.  Some are simply membership organizations and anyone can join, but two others – The IMDHA (International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association) and the APHP (Association of Professional Hypnosis and Psychology) have specific requirements around medical, dental and clinical hypnotism training.  Because of these strict requirements, hypnotherapy practitioners are skilled to assist with emotional, spiritual and mental illnesses and imbalances.

The APHP have very strict requirements of their members.  Membership and certification of schools is by application and proof of credentialing and training in the field of medical hypnotism. The IMDHA certifies hypnotherapy schools which teach basic hypnotism techniques first, followed by training in the applications of hypnosis for medical (including mental illness) and dental purposes.  The designation earned is Certified Hypnotherapist. Practitioners are trained to work with allied healthcare (mental/dental) professionals in focus areas of regression, medical , dental and behavioral hypnosis.  As a result, regression hypnotherapists are typically skilled at assisting those suffering from mental illness identify and dissolve the root causes of emotional suffering.

Clinical hypnotherapists are able to provide safe, dignified assistance to those suffering mental illness issues without need for a diagnosis and in all clinical settings.   Hypnotherapy practitioners are required to continue their education in the medical/dental areas and remain up-to-date with the advances in this rapidly expanding field.

The Difference Between a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Hypnotist

 Girl_suffering_form_anxiety     To get healthy and stay healthy, you need the truth … the truth about what is in your water, your food and especially how your mind is conditioned.  When  clients struggling with mental illness seek my clinical hypnotherapy assistance to turn their emotional and physical health around safely we start with the facts:

  • Conventional medicine is not about ‘curing’ or ‘healing’; it is designed to suppress symptoms, which inevitably rise up as something worse later;
  • The medical-pharmaceutical complex is engaging in extraordinary levels of medical fraud, misrepresentation of facts, willful negligence, manipulation of clinical trials, control of mainstream media, manufacturing of mental illness, suppression of legitimate health information, ghost-writing and collusion – the result is that experts have deemed much of the information in ‘esteemed’ medical journals worthless and dangerous;
  • Mainstream medical information is controlled by Big Pharma – natural healings of cancer, mental illness and catastrophic illnesses are censored;
  • Mental illness is not brain disease. Brain disease has objective scientific evidence; ‘mental illness’ is nothing more than opinion with nothing to back it up. Mental illness is a term conjured up entirely by psychiatrists to meet the needs of pharmaceutical companies to sell illness-causing drugs. Further, diagnoses are ‘voted’ in and out on the whim of psychiatrists and drug companies – not a single mental illness is backed up by science;
  • According to psychiatrists, normal human emotion and reaction is mental illness and everyone needs to be ‘treated’. The conventional treatment for normal human emotions results in worsening conditions and epidemic levels of disability;
  • SWAG – (Scientifically Wild-Assed Guess) = the way psychiatry operates;
  • The brain is not the center of emotion; it reacts to emotions.  I know of no one who has ever experienced a brain-break when hurt, betrayed, abandoned, neglected, abused, etc, but everyone has experienced heartbreak(more…)

“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.Lao Tzu

With the guidance of a qualified hypnotherapist, one can find their way to their center, discover who they are, heal what ‘hurts’ and free themselves of unproductive past conditioning.

Hypnotherapy Heals

Hypnotherapy is an ‘Inside” Job

Our belief system regarding the safety of our world and our worth was established without our consent, knowledge or conscious input during the very early stages of development, typically before 6-7 years old.  We become hard-wired to a certain sense of self-worth and safety that continues to play a huge role in how we react to life in adulthood.

There is a clear absence of language skills and physical and mental proficiency in a young child – skills that adults take for granted.  But children do have feelings and it is these feelings that guide them.  If they feel safe and secure, they continue their activities; if they feel unsafe and not fully accepted, they develop adaptive behaviors to restore the preferred feeling.  Thus, over time, a person’s personality becomes a reflection of their view of their world. Their brain’s responses to life are entirely consistent with the child’s belief (inner feeling) as to his level of safety and always seek to satisfy the instinctual drive for survival.

A customized regression to root-cause hypnotherapeutic approach will assist clients in finding their way back to pivotal childhood events in a safe, dignified, label-free, drug-free manner.  By guiding them through a subconscious course-correction of those events and a release of all unwanted issues and beliefs, clients can finally resolve the inconsistencies between their actions and desires. PTSD, anger, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and stress-related physical issues such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Fibromyalgia, all become a thing of the past.  The Mayo Clinic is only one of many esteemed institutions which have highlighted the benefits of hypnotherapy as an alternative to psychiatric drug therapy for emotional issues.

Becoming free of unproductive childhood imprinting allows clients to proceed along their life’s journey free to be them and all that being them means.  Clients enjoy a new sense of being equal to all others – unique but equal.  Hypnotherapy seeks to ensure that all clients fully believe, in the deepest part of their spiritual being, that nothing anyone can think, do or say – and nothing that can ever happen to them, can ever diminish their worth to this Universe.  That’s freedom of the human spirit, the foundation for a fulfilled life!

Hypnosis is such a natural feature of our being that we routinely go in and out of the hypnotic state throughout the day. Most everyone can learn, in just a few minutes, how to hypnotize themselves and willing others, technically making them a ‘hypnotist’. But does that also make them an effective therapist?

Few people who have learned to hypnotize others have the verifiable skills in therapy required to assist others to heal themselves of emotional issues, unwanted habits and physical ailments. Qualified hypnotherapists on the other hand, can provide verifiable credentials of specialized hypnotherapy training and demonstrate advanced skills in the therapeutic aspect of their work; the use of hypnosis facilitates their therapy.

What is the State of Hypnosis?

Being in the state of hypnosis means that a person has narrowed their focus to a single thought or feeling and allowed other mental functions to fade into the background of their mind. Although the brain is not evaluating new data when one narrows their focus to a specific stimuli or set of stimuli as it would if in the fully alert state, it is not comatose, asleep or anesthetized – it is still operating ‘in the background’.
Therefore, hypnosis is merely a state of mind during which a person has suspended reality. Often it involves relaxation, but we can also be in a deep state of focused concentration when panicked, fearful, obsessively washing our hands, or apprehensively waiting on our doctor to share test results.

Why is it Important to Understand Hypnosis?

Because it’s so easy to induce hypnosis in a willing person, we see thousands of ‘hypnotists’ claiming that they can also help people with all sorts of personal issues.

While hypnosis is not harmful, its allure can separate you from your money if you do not keep in mind that it is the ‘therapy’ undertaken while a person is in a focused state of concentration that will help you achieve your goals, not the state itself. To be an effective therapist, one must have not only advanced training in how to use the state of hypnosis effectively, but relevant experience and skills with life and the specific issues to be resolved; these a practitioner does not acquire in a weekend course on how to induce hypnosis.

Questionable Claims by Poorly Trained Hypnotists

Many hypnotists incorrectly claim that hypnosis has a 90-95% stop-smoking success rate, while failing to define ‘success’. Hypnotists who are unable to recognize and address the underlying root-cause of the habit may well leave behind a non-smoking client with heightened anxiety or a new, equally undesirable coping mechanism to handle ‘stress’. It is very common for a person to stop smoking only to become an emotional eater when the underlying reason for the anxiety and stress reactions are not first dissolved – or worse, to return to smoking more heavily.

Similarly, there are so many variables to be considered in safe weight management that hypnotists without significant experience and knowledge of root-cause issues, GMO’s, nutrition, medication side-effects, depression, anxiety and physical conditions may unwittingly lead a weight-loss client to believe that their weight problems will resolve with hypnosis scripts designed to reduce food intake, even though food intake may well not be the problem.

Beware Exaggerated Credentialing

It is not uncommon to hear of hypnotists, with little more than a few hours training in how to induce hypnosis in another, string all manner of unrelated titles behind their names, hoping to appear to be qualified in the medical and dental use of hypnosis. Many even claim they are ‘hypnotherapists’ despite having no therapy skills and experience whatever. Ethical hypnotherapists do not engage in exaggerated credentialing.

Titles such as Doctor of Divinity, Ph.D of Philosophy, and so on, have no bearing on a hypnotists’ ability to help clients resolve emotional hardships, unwanted habits and health issues and are entirely irrelevant to the field of medical and dental hypnotherapy. No real ‘bricks & mortars’ educational facilities offer doctorates or Ph.Ds in hypnosis or hypnotherapy. As seen in many other professions as well, millions of Ph.Ds and doctorates are acquired from on-line diploma mills by the unprincipled.

Choosing the Right Hypnotherapist

So while it is exciting that hypnosis can be easily induced by most people, confusion can result about which practitioner is best for the prospective hypnotherapy client. Thus the need to question more! What is their training in medical and dental hypnotherapy exactly; have they completed their Master Hypnotist and then Hypnotherapist training, or are they simply taking a few hypnosis courses, getting a handful of diplomas from poorly trained ‘instructors’ and joining one of the several organizations that take a membership fee and cavalierly proffer an important-sounding title without any formal testing or supervision? Have they been supervised by a qualified instructor before being unleashed on the public? Did their instructor have a successful hypnotherapy practice prior to instructing, or did they too just take a few courses and then offer to teach others?

Summary

As you can see, practically anyone can be a hypnotist, and any hypnotist can claim to be a hypnotherapist, or appear to have magical powers, but only those who can demystify the hypnotherapeutic process, prove their medical and dental hypnotherapy credentials and support their claims, deserve your patronage if you are seeking to heal yourself physically and emotionally.

Feb 6, 2013:  Kim Warner, Plainfield Ontario Canada sends along this testimonial regarding her experience with Grace Joubarne, Clinical Hypnotherapist.  With her permission it is shared here:

I started seeing Grace in June.  I was not sure about the hypnosis thing but thought it certainly would not hurt!!  I was dealing with various issues but one of the main ones was the problem of not being able to shut my brain off.  For years my first response to all things in life was to start thinking about what could go wrong.  I spent a lot of energy and time worrying about what could happen.  I have horses and the worry about their health and safety was constant and very tiring.  I found I couldn’t enjoy my time with them as it was always over shadowed by the worry of what ifs….what if they trip and hurt themselves, what if they get out of their pasture and get out on the road, what if they choke on their food, what if their water freezes.  Even riding was a function in nerves and worry about what if they spook at something and dump me on my head and hurt themselves doing it, what if I’m hurt and can’t look after them, what if…what if….!!!  On and on it went every day – it was like I couldn’t shut my brain off.  I would have mild anxiety attacks.  And it wasn’t just the horses, I worried about everything and it was affecting my life and I was becoming more and more reclusive.  I would wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to go back to sleep.  Driving in the winter was extremely stressful and when there was bad weather I would stress all day about having to drive home.  I have family that live 3 hours away and trips down to visit them involved days of worrying about the drive down and then for the duration of my visit worrying about the drive back.

 I noticed a difference after the first few sessions with Grace.  At first I started to sleep thru the night and then using the coping techniques she taught me I was able to keep my anxiety from developing into anxiety attacks.  As time goes on I catch myself noticing changes I hadn’t realized were happening because they were gradual.  I don’t have to resort to my coping techniques as often and I handle stressful situations in a more relaxed manner.  I am enjoying my horses so much more and although I’m still properly cautious with them and keeping them safe is still a priority it’s no longer an overwhelming worry.  I have also just realized that winter driving is not the huge stressor it used to be.   I approach it calmly and without the high stress level it used to cause.  You have to put the effort in to it but I have been very pleased with the results.  At the age of 49 I find myself starting to enjoy life again after many, many years – decades even.  It’s even more amazing considering how fast I saw the changes starting!  I am finally looking forward to where my life is going and I do think things will only continue to improve.  Life will always have its stresses but how I deal with these stresses is getting better and better.

I have to chuckle when medical articles and mainstream media suggest that CAMs (Complementary or Alternative Medicine) or any non-conventional treatments are not supported by ‘scientific’ evidence.  It would seem the odds of having or recovering good health are far better with alternative medical treatments.

The legitimate scientific evidence about conventional cancer treatments shows that they are practically useless, that chemotherapy causes issues such as massive bone loss, permanent sexual dysfunction etc. and that radiation typically results in later onset of more cancer and further, that the rates of cancer survival have not changed in 60 years, although cancer rates have exploded.  And this is if you get a correct diagnosis in the first place.

The legitimate scientific evidence about so-called mental illness is even more damning in terms of the  claims made on the effectiveness and safety of psychiatric treatments and drugs.  There is abundant evidence since 1970, both experiential and scientific, that mental illness does not exist, there is no chemical, physical or genetic abnormality of the brain to account for unwanted emotional crises and that drug-induced abnormality occurs only after psychiatric drug treatment and at alarming rates.  In addition, psychiatric drugs are linked with violence, suicide and homicide to such a degree that regulatory agencies all over the world issue ‘warnings’, though they still allow the unrestricted marketing and prescription of the products.  Studies have also proven that all psychiatric diagnoses are without any scientific validity, existing only because psychiatrists voted  them into existence.

Supposedly there is scientific ‘support’ for conventional treatments, but as Marcia Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, clarifies about that aspect of the scandal:  “It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.”(Marcia Angell, MD, The New York Review of Books, January 15, 2009).

I personally  lost two younger brothers to the conventional treatment for leukemia.  I survived, opting for treatment by a medical naturopath who uses only homeopathic, herbal and dietary approaches.  I never missed a beat and was well within 3 months of learning of my situation.  In addition, German New Medicine has conclusively proven over 20 years of studies that at least 13 cancers will resolve with a change of lifestyle and diet alone.

Tens of thousands of people annually obtain drug-free, effective hypnotherapy assistance to resolve emotional issues safely.  Qualified hypnotherapists can effectively assist clients to resolve anger, anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive-compulsive behaviors and fears of all kinds.

Medical science has been prostituted…it’s every man, woman and child for themselves and tens of millions of people have moved to alternatives as a result.  As a wise neighbor once said, the odds cannot be worse with alternatives then they are with conventional treatments.

Fear-mongering by Big Pharma has driven us, like frightened sheep, to slash and burn treatments that leave most patients’ lives and bodies decimated.  It is time to stop fearing cancer and mental illness, regard them as a signal that something has to change and then make the dietary and lifestyle changes needed to support health.  The body has an amazing ability to heal itself when given the tools it needs…excellent nutrition, reasonable exercise, abundant love, respectful care and relentless commitment.

It is easy to deceive anyone who is not expecting to be deceived, especially if they have been conditioned since childhood to trust their doctors and Health Canada ( or the FDA).  As a result, every 14 minutes prescription drugs kill a patient!

Widespread Big Pharma practices that ensure patients and doctors don’t learn about the true dangers of prescription drugs are staggering in their level of deceit.

Not only are drug company clinical trials conducted over a mere 2-6 weeks with selected participants who do not remotely reflect the usual patient population, but many clinical trials are ended early because of severe drug reactions, including death. These results are hidden away in drug company vaults until a lawsuit forces their release…but by then it is very much too late. We are not hearing the truth about these drugs from Health Canada or our doctors; we are hearing it from lawyers and victims.

Marcia Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, clarifies that aspect of the scandal:  “It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.”(Marcia Angell, MD, The New York Review of Books, January 15, 2009)

Terence Young, a Canadian Member of Parliament, author of Death by Prescription, lost a child to a prescription drug adverse effect.  Since then he has been investigating how drugs are approved and monitored and is advocating for changes in the ‘wild-west’ way the medical-pharmaceutical cartel is permitted to operate in Canada.  He testified during a Canadian Senate Standing Committee Hearing (Oct 2012) on the Post-approval monitoring of prescription drugs (see testimony mid-way in video)   that in very recent years, 27 drugs that were supposed to be safe were taken off the market, but as in the case of Vioxx, which killed some 65,000 before being pulled, not until many had been maimed or killed.

As Young pointed out, adverse drug reaction information is buried in linguistic acrobatics in medication pamphlets and medical ghostwriting.  But the bigger problem with the system is that drugs can be fast-tracked to market on the say-so of the drug company, without testing and without proper safety measures in place.  In fact, Health Canada does no independent testing and maintains no adverse reaction database.  Talk about the fox guarding the hen-house!

There is no post-approval monitoring of drugs, no national database for the reporting of adverse effects by the public and if/when doctors decide to report adverse effects to the drug companies, the drug companies are free to downgrade the effect…so that suicide attempt could be classed as aggression or depression.  Most times doctors dismiss adverse effects as being the result of the issue being treated!

As Dr. Healy, CEO and principal founder of Data Based Medicine Americas Ltd stated: “It is important to distinguish between suicide and death by misadventure. Suicide is the deliberate termination of one’s existence while in one’s right mind. Taking one’s own life under the influence of drugs is death by misadventure, not suicide. This distinction has huge legal, financial, insurance, and religious implications, as well as being of great importance to family and friends.”

As Young noted, in Canada death by adverse  pharmaceutical drug reaction  is too often listed on a coroner’s report as ‘death by natural causes’.  Adverse reactions due to pharmaceutical drugs alone cause 10,000 Canadian deaths each year and 150,000 injuries, but as Janet Currie, Director of Psychiatric Medication Awareness Group testified at the same Senate Standing Committee Hearing, these figures represent a very small portion of the actual damage incurred.  Most are not being reported to, or addressed by, Health Canada, the very agency we are conditioned to believe is on guard for us.

Off-Label Prescribing

Another major problem noted by Young and Currie was the profoundly unsafe practices of off-label prescribing by doctors, as this practice accounts for 5-20% of prescribing practices in North America.  Particularly troubling are doctor claims that they do not have the time to actually look into drug company claims of safety and efficacy…they just follow drug company dictates.

Off-label prescribing happens when a doctor gives you a drug that Health Canada has has not approved to treat the condition you complain of. This practice is legal and common, thus even toddlers are getting drugs never tested on children and never approved for use in children.  Besides begging the question “Why bother with Health Canada or the approval of any drugs at all?” we can also ask “Are off-label drugs safe?”.

It’s hard to see how they can be safe, since most drugs have side-effects that cause problems beyond the original issue a patient sought help with.  Bottom-line, it seems that because of the fact that Health Canada does not do any of its own testing, relies entirely on drug company claims, does not monitor drugs after approval including those fast-tracked, that fast-tracked medications do not have any scrutiny before or after being marketed and that a drug can be prescribed at will by any physician for any reason and without explanation if something goes wrong, it is quite safe to say that anytime you put any pharmaceutical medication into your body you are playing a game with worse odds then Russian Roulette.

Drug Company Free-For-All

As a result of what seems to be a free-for-all prescription drug system with no safety precautions in place and what appears to be an absence of monitoring or consequences (except to the patient) for the drug companies and doctors who prescribed these medications, the fact is also that psychiatric drugs, heart medications and antibiotics are commonly prescribed off label.  Thus antibiotics are prescribed for viral infections even though they are designed to destroy bacteria only, and also, more often then not, when neither a bacterial nor a viral infection can be ascertained. Typically drugs are prescribed without any attempt to try natural remedies and therapies and/or dietary and lifestyle changes first, to the serious detriment of the patient who is looking for good health.

It’s not uncommon for depression medications to be used to treat chronic pain.  But what about the addictiveness and brain disabling effects of the antidepressants?  Well, the fact is that those little bits of information are not provided to patients even when the risks overwhelmingly outweigh the benefits and even when there are many natural alternatives for chronic pain.  In fact, hypnotherapy, self-hypnosis and meditation have been shown to be very effective in resolving chronic pain issues.

Study after study is showing alarming issues with vaccines and antibiotics.  Ethical doctors everywhere are urging people not to vaccinate themselves or their children and to use antibiotics ONLY in emergency situations.  Studies are repeatedly showing that statin drugs  cause adverse effects including muscle deterioration and are rarely as effective in controlling blood pressures as natural therapies that address lifestyle and dietary factors.  Let’s remember that the heart is a muscle!  Worse yet, anti-cholesterol drugs are shown to be linked to cardiac issues, increased risk of diabetes and memory loss …for starters.

The US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) studies have shown that some newer antipsychotic drugs typically used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorders are also prescribed for depression, dementia, and other conditions despite there being no evidence that these drugs work. As revealed in the January 14, 2009 AHRQ study “Use of Atypical Antipsychotic Drugs Increases Risk of Sudden Cardiac Death in Adults“, they increase the risk of cardiac death.

These facts are even more disturbing when we learn (Medication Madness by Dr. P. Breggin and others) that depression and schizophrenia sufferers do not have chemical imbalances  and can usually resolve their conditions very well within 6 months to 1 year with few, if any, relapses when the patient IS NOT medicated.  Once medicated, these issues worsen, become chronic, severe and irreversible.  The fairytale that any of these drugs are ‘helpful’ in the long-run is actually a tale of willful harm for profits, well documented by ethical doctors and scientists since 1970.

That relapse rates increase as a direct result of psychiatric drug intervention, that drug therapy in seniors seriously increases suicide rates, that drugs actually cause depression and drug therapy increases the rates of stroke is never discussed by doctors or mainstream media.  This is astounding considering the many studies showing the absolute ineffectiveness of antidepressant drugs and the increased cancer risk associated with their use.

Psychiatric and pain management drugs are now the gateway drugs to illicit drug use and in fact facilitate the addiction to drugs with alarming ease. Most patients are not told these drugs are highly addictive and when the doctor is confronted later, typically there continues to be denial.  Doctors are not trained in the safe withdrawal of a patient from an addictive drug, thus patients find themselves trying to navigate a withdrawal mine-field alone.

With the newer psychiatric drugs, we are seeing epidemics of drug-induced bipolar, cardiovascular, kidney, pancreatic and liver issues.  These were rare in adults, almost unheard of in children…now psychiatric drugs have helped create an epidemic of drug-induced chronic physical illnesses.

The medicalization of non-diseases such as emotional reactions and everyday life experiences harms both the individuals so labeled and society’s fabric. The problem is that the treatments are causing epidemics of chronic diseases such as diabetes in addition to medication madness.

You can add to that the new drug-pushing habit of convincing people, through equally unsupported claims of ‘genetic’ links to illness, to undergo unnecessary surgery and ingest damaging drugs.
